By downloading, installing, or using OweSnap ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and OweSnap.
2. Description of Service
OweSnap is a personal finance tool that allows users to track debts, IOUs, and shared bills. The App provides features for recording, managing, and sharing debt information with other users.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Subscriptions and Payments
OweSnap offers auto-renewable subscription plans that unlock premium features including unlimited debt tracking:
- Monthly Plan: $3.99/month
- Yearly Plan: $39.99/year
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store or Google Play Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
- Use the App to engage in fraudulent activities
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
6. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create within the App (debt records, notes, descriptions). However, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process this content as necessary to provide the service.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. OweSnap does not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The App is a tracking tool only and does not constitute financial or legal advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OweSnap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, financial disputes, or inaccurate debt records.
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Use. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings, which will permanently remove all your data.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
