- Email address (for authentication and account recovery)
- Display name (optional, shown to users you share debts with)
- Debt and transaction data you enter into the app
- Device push notification tokens (if you enable push notifications)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve OweSnap:
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To store and display your debts, bills, and payment history
- To send push notifications (reminders, payment updates) when enabled
- To enable debt sharing with other users you choose to connect with
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your debt information is only visible to you and any users you explicitly share it with through the app's sharing feature.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies. This means your data is only accessible to your authenticated account. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
5. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to deliver reminders and updates. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all your data (profile, debts, transactions, notifications) will be permanently removed within 48 hours.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data associated with your account
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Disable push notifications at any time
8. Children's Privacy
OweSnap is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
